Deposit Services Specialist

Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Deposit Services Specialist supports daily deposit operations by ensuring accurate account servicing, transaction processing, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include resolving non-posted transactions, reviewing remote deposits, placing Regulation CC holds, processing interest payments, and reviewing consumer product exceptions and CIP documentation. This position also administers garnishments and levies, processes domestic collection items, prepares IOLTA reporting, and monitors inactive and dormant accounts, including escheatment activities. The role requires detail-oriented, organized, and commitment to providing exceptional support to branches and internal departments while maintaining compliance with bank policies and regulations.

 
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Research and resolve non-posted transactions for checking, savings, safe deposit box, and loan accounts. 
  • Review remote deposit capture transactions
  • Apply Regulation CC Holds as appropriate. 
  • Process CD and savings interest payments accurately and timely. 
  • Review consumer product exceptions and CIP documentation to ensure compliance with bank policies and regulations. 
  • Administer garnishments and levies in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements. 
  • Process domestic collection items and related account servicing requests. 
  • Prepare and maintain IOLTA reporting. 
  • Monitor and manage inactive and dormant accounts, including escheatment processing. 
  • Maintain accurate account records and support the integrity of deposit systems and processes. 
  • Provide operational support and guidance to branches and internal departments while delivering exceptional customer service. 
  • Ensure compliance with bank policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements. 
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of Windows based programs preferred
  • Ability to provide good customer service and telephone courtesy.
  • Ability to demonstrate accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure meeting critical deadlines and have multitasking abilities.
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Bank experience preferred.
  • Balancing and Reconcilement experience preferred.
