INFO SECURITY ENGINEER
Job Description
- Engineers, implements, and monitors security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information.
- Identifies and defines system security requirements.
- Prepares and documents standard operating procedures and protocols.
- Configures and troubleshoots security infrastructure devices.
- Develops technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
- Ensures that the company knows as much as possible, as quickly as possible about security incidents.
- Writes comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Knowledge in building and maintaining security systems.
- Knowledge of detailed, technical database and operating system security.
- Skill in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc.
- Skill with network technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools.
- Ability to understanding the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
- Ability to work with web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer information management, computer science or other related fields or equivalent work experience.
- CompTIA CASP+, (ISC)2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Security Expert (GSE), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), ISACA Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or other equivalent certifications or work experience.
- Preferred experience with the following:
- Antivirus
- EDR/MDR
- Email security
- Social Engineering
- IDS/IPS
- Threat Intelligence
- Cloud computing
- SIEM/Log Management
- Vulnerability Management
- Forensics
