RISK MGMT OFFICER

Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Review loan portfolios to provide an independent assessment of asset quality, loan documentation and report to management.  Maintain Web Equity Manager Administration.  Maintain configuration for Suntell record retention. 
            
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  1. Reviews loan portfolios to assess asset quality. Communicates findings to management.
  2. Monitor exposure and conformity to policy.
  3. Reviews for adequate and sufficient loan file documentation in Suntell.
  4. Creates various management reports
  5. Tests for adequacy of reserve for loan loss.
  6. Communicates with branch personnel changes in laws, regulations, and loan policy as it relates to managing risk.
  7. Maintains Web Equity database of users, configuration, profiles.  Coordinates updates and changes.  Provides training on Web Equity.
  8. Maintains configuration, users, profiles, folder structure of Suntell system. Monitors and communicates updates.
  9. Keeps abreast of changes in regulations and examiner expectations as they relate to real estate valuation.
  10. Other duties as assigned by management. 
  11. Regular and reliable attendance.
  12. Communicate effectively in-person and otherwise with all coworkers and customers, both during regular business hours and before and after regular business hours, if necessary. 

 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of all federal banking compliance regulations.
  • Knowledge of Pinnacle Bank policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of loan systems and record keeping system.
  • Skill in training and communication.
  • Ability to work in a PC dominant environment including word processing, email, internet, and intranet.
  • Ability to be highly organized and motivated, with good skills in accuracy and detail, a high sense of urgency. Must have the ability to develop and communicate training materials clearly and accurately.
  • Ability to be responsive to and able to meet strict deadlines. 
  • Ability to create an efficient work environment, paying close attention to detail.  Must put a premium on accuracy of own work and work reviewed of others.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize in rapidly changing environment.
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum of three to five years of banking experience
  • Minimum of two years in either regulatory compliance or lending position.

Must be able to read documents, use computer

Must be able to communicate in person and on the telephone.
 
Standing/Walking:    50-74%                                                                        
Must be able to go to areas of the office to use copier & fax machines 
 
Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 50-74%                                                            
Must be able to kneel or stoop to file or retrieve files in cabinets.
 
Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: 75-100%
Must be able to use computer, place paperwork in folders
 
 
PHYSICAL DIMENSIONS:
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negotiable amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.  Job involves sitting most of the time and if walking and standing is required, only occasionally.
