TESTING ONLY Human Resources Payroll Clerk

Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Assists with the input, maintenance of payroll hours and records.  Assists Vice President of Human Resources with clerical duties and responsibilities.  
 
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  1. Assists with collection, input, and audit of payroll hours.
  2. Assists with time clock system: edits, reports, and maintenance.
  3. Audits payroll input.
  4. Assists with variety of clerical duties and responsibilities.
  5. Responsible for preparation of new employee packets and forms.
  6. Coordinates vacation lockouts.
  7. Performs other related duties as assigned.
  8. Regular and reliable attendance.
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of banking, accounting.
  • Knowledge of Human Resource practices and principles.
  • Skill in good communications.
  • Skill in payroll input and changes.
  • Ability to be accurate.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and function as a team player.
  • Ability to work within strict time constraints and multi-task.
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School diploma or equivalent banking experience.
  • Previous experience with computer software and bookkeeping preferred.

PHYSICAL DIMENSIONS:
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negotiable amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry or otherwise move objects.  Job involves sitting most of the time and walking and standing some of the time.
