Bank of Colorado Breaks Ground on New Location in Loveland
As Bank of Colorado reflects on a year defined by growth, community investment and long-term commitment to Northern Colorado, the bank is proud to celebrate the groundbreaking of a new, stand-alone downtown Loveland branch located on Lot 1, Block 1 at the corner of Cleveland Avenue and 3rd Street in downtown Loveland. The groundbreaking in September marked the next step in a process that began in 2019 to find a new home for the bank’s downtown branch. Bank of Colorado purchased the property in 2021 and completed a redesign in 2024—work that now comes together in construction of a purposeful, locally focused branch set to open in 2026.
Downtown Loveland is seeing significant investments and improvements, and Bank of Colorado is proud to be part of that progress. “We have been serving the Loveland community since 2013, and with this newest location, we are well-positioned to grow at the same pace as this thriving community.” stated Bank of Colorado President, Shawn Osthoff.
Today, the bank’s downtown Loveland location operates on the second floor of a multi‑tenant building with limited office space, no drive‑up, and no dedicated parking. The new branch will feature drive‑up lanes with an ATM LIVE®, a large conference room, and on‑site parking—improvements that will expand access and convenience for customers.
“To be located in the heart of Loveland represents our company’s culture that values: a strong community, a strong business environment, a thriving nonprofit community, and the idea of neighbors helping neighbors,” said Michael Bellus, Market President, at the groundbreaking event.
In the spirit of neighbors helping neighbors, Bank of Colorado also announced a community support initiative to assist their neighbors at the Associated Veterans of Loveland (AVoL) across the street during construction. For every Diamond Secure Account or Business Account opened at the bank’s existing west Loveland and downtown locations from now until opening in 2026, Bank of Colorado will donate $100 to AVoL. The AVoL building is home to organizations including American Legion Post 15 and Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion Squadron 15, American Legion Riders Post 15, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 41 and Auxiliary, VFW Warriors, and the AVoL Honor Guard.
"We are proud to support our community, our veterans and our neighbors. It’s what we do,” Bellus added. “This project is made possible with the support of trusted local partners, including Elder Construction, Hauser Architects, Jensen LaPlante Development, and Ron Kuehl of Realtec, along with the commitment of the entire Bank of Colorado organization.”
Customers can continue banking as usual at the current downtown and west Loveland branches during construction. Bank of Colorado is planning to have a Grand Opening for this new location in late summer of 2026.
