COMPL ANALYST OFFICER

Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Primary responsibility for this position will be to ensure compliance with state and federal lending regulations and assist with multiple types of audits to ensure integrity of compliance procedures, accuracy of bank operations and processes, and validity of Bank’s Compliance Management System.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  1. Participates in credit report monitoring (Factual Data and CIS) including verifying legitimate credit report inquiries, accuracy of information pursuant to bank records, and presence of withdrawn, denied, or completed loan file for reports ordered.
  2. Reviews CRA reportable loans via software (Compliance Relief) for errors, discrepancies, and validity. Implements a review process as well as reviewing exception reports. Works closely with charter branches to ensure CRA data accuracy.
  3. Reviews HMDA reportable loans via software (Compliance Relief) for errors, completes validity and quality exception reports, and communicates with the branches to make timely corrections.  Additional review is required to ensure all HMDA reportable applications are reported correctly each calendar year including non-originated loan files.
  4. Assists Compliance in performing denial reviews – HMDA denials, consumer, commercial, and withdrawn files. May periodically review denied deposit account requests.
  5. Manage and maintain the E-Oscar program for all regions of Pinnacle Bank, KMN to report & resolve all identified credit report discrepancies and complaints.
  6. Participates in targeted audits and reviews of consumer mortgage loans at direction of Senior Compliance Officer.  Report results as needed. 
  7. Participates and assists with external independent Compliance audits and regulatory compliance exams.
  8. Assists DecisionPro (DP) and LaserPro Admin (LP) with consumer lending technology and compliance needs.  Works cooperatively with both Admin teams.  Helps with testing DP and LP releases and review of consumer templates for compliance related issues.  
  9. Will serve as the compliance liaison for mortgage servicing questions, issues, and guidance.  
  10. Works with Compliance Department personnel to become proficient and maintain skills on regulatory requirements and regulations effecting lending operations.
  11. Assists in developing communication for Compliance newsletter.
  12. Regular and reliable attendance.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of federal lending regulations is needed.  
  • Knowledge of Pinnacle Bank policies and procedures.
  • Skill in operating computer terminals and printers and other various office equipment.
  • Skill in good communication and training.
  • Ability to word process with high level of accuracy and an acceptable degree of speed.
  • Ability to work with all bank personnel and communicate impact of laws and regulations as they relate to consumer lending.
  • Ability to operate efficiently in a busy work environment, paying close attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.  College and/or certificates are a plus. 
  •  5 years previous banking, loan processing or lending experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.

PHYSICAL DIMENSIONS 
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negotiable amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Job involves sitting most of the time and if walking and standing is required, only occasionally.
