Project Manager I

Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Senior Project Manager, a Project Manager I is responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects within the scope, budget, and timeline. They work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the project meets the expectations and objectives of the clients and the organization. They also monitor and report on the project progress, risks, and issues.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  1. Define the project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  2. Develop and maintain a detailed project plan that covers all phases, activities, tasks, resources, and milestones.
  3. Coordinate and manage the project team, vendors, and contractors to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and according to the quality standards.
  4. Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders, including clients, sponsors, senior management, team members, and others.
  5. Identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks and issues, and escalate them as appropriate.
  6. Track and measure the project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, and report on the project status, achievements, and challenges.
  7. Conduct project reviews and lessons learned sessions, and document and share the project outcomes and best practices.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of project management software, such as MS-Project, Planner, Lists, Power Apps, Power BI Reporting, Jira, Azure DevOps, etc. preferred.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, such as Software Development Methodology, PMBOK, Agile, Scrum, etc.
  • Certification in project management, such as PMP, CAPM, PRINCE2, etc., is a plus. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school graduate or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in business, management, engineering, or related field strongly preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in banking, project management, or a similar role.
